In Episode 11 I welcome Nutrition Scientist and my University lecturer, Dr Tim Crowe. We discuss the misnomers surrounding nutrition science and what makes nutrition science so complex. Tim explains the difference between ‘dietary patterns’ and a ‘diet’, we assess diet quality particulalry in the context of plant-based nutrition, he also helps to separate fact from fiction on the specific topics of soy, meat and dairy. I wanted to ask Tim about these foods in particular because it’s reflective of the foods I’m asked about time and time again in clinic. I hope you enjoy learning from one of my very first teachers.
